What is a Halloween Golf Cart Parade?
Imagine the colorful and imaginative floats of a traditional parade, but on a smaller, more personal scale. Golf carts, those familiar little vehicles that zip around golf courses, are decorated with Halloween themes and paraded around Riviera Bay. Participants go all out, dressing not only their carts but also themselves in various Halloween themes. From spooky to sporty, from ghastly to glamorous, these parades exhibit a wide range of creativity.
The parades have not only attracted participants but also scores of spectators, both young and old, eager to see the inventive transformations of the humble golf cart. From carts designed as haunted mansions to those adorned as pumpkin patches, the level of detail and creativity has made it a must-watch event.
- Community Involvement: These parades foster community spirit. Participants often collaborate with neighbors to design and execute their thematic carts.
- Inclusive: The Halloween Golf Cart Parade is accessible to all ages. Kids, adults, and seniors all come together, making it a wholesome family event.
- Safe: Especially in times when traditional trick-or-treating might be considered risky, these parades offer a safer alternative to celebrate Halloween in style.
- Eco-friendly: Given that golf carts are electric, this parade is also a greener Halloween celebration, especially when compared to car parades.
How to Participate
If you’re thinking of joining the parade or starting one in your community, here are some steps to get you rolling:

- Decoration: Plan your theme, gather materials, and start decorating your golf cart. Remember to ensure safety by not obstructing the driver’s view or maneuverability.
- Dress Up: Your golf cart isn’t the only thing that needs a makeover. Dress up to match your cart’s theme!
- Celebrate & Respect: Enjoy the parade and remember to respect traffic rules and the environment. It’s all about having fun responsibly!
