Energizing Our Estuaries. Hosted by the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural & Natural History Center: Embark on a transformative journey into the heart of Tampa Bay’s estuary where freshwater rivers meet the salty embrace of the sea. Join us for a talk with Senior Ecologist Brian Lane as he shares his passion for these ecosystems, along with their rich biodiversity and ecological significance. From mangrove-lined shorelines teeming with fish to vast seagrass meadows that serve as nurseries for countless marine species, you’ll gain a newfound appreciation for the complexity and resilience of estuaries and understand their critical role in sustaining marine life along the Florida coastlines. Please note: This webinar will be recorded for quality assurance but will not be available for on-demand viewing after the program has ended. Pinellas County complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you are a person with a disability who needs any accommodation in order to participate in this program you are entitled, at no cost to you, to the provision of certain assistance. Prior to ten (10) business days before the class, please submit your request to accommodations@pinellas.gov and weedonisland@pinellas.gov.
