Beachy Explorations: What’s Underfoot?

Beaches serve as the sandy divide separating the terrestrial and oceanic worlds. The beach climate is attractive and alluring; however, it is equally unforgiving and harsh. Yet, many animals and plants thrive at this intersection of land and sea. Ever wonder what are those tracks, trails, and scratchings in the sand? How did all of those shells get there? Join us for a talk with Sensing Nature’s Senior Wildlife Biologist Jeanne Murphy as she answers these questions and reveals some of her favorite beach “friends.” Maybe the next time you explore the beach you’ll meet some new beach “friends” too.
