Beginning with a massive list of 300 potential candidates, the team at Outside meticulously defined 15 crucial criteria to eventually select 15 cities that unmistakably represent joy and satisfaction for their inhabitants. The range of places was vast, encompassing quaint towns such as Hood River, Oregon, to well-renowned cities like New Orleans. With an amalgamation of factors like affordable living costs, security, diversity, and the liberty for individuals to express themselves, the notion of a “happy town” came to life. Unsurprisingly, St. Petersburg, with its glorious sunshine and inclusive environment, proudly found its name on this coveted list.
