Don’t say they didn’t warn you. St. Petersburg Police today tweeted out a message to those who drive on 3 specific roads in Pinellas County. Speeding will get you a ticket.
An infographic accompanied the warning on how speeding 20 miles per hour to get to work saves you 4 minutes, but will cost you $281. Their math was based on a 10 mile commute. And of course that doesn’t take into consideration the jump on our auto insurance that’ll surely follow. And we all know how cheap car insurance is in Florida.
Tomorrow, 11/9, #StPetePD will be conducting a special operation to crack down on speeding in District 2. Officers will be concentrating on:
Ulmerton Rd
Roosevelt Blvd
Gandy Blvd
This is conducted in addition to our daily traffic enforcement throughout the city.

Tomorrow (November 9), St. Pete Police will be set up to find speeders on 3 specific roads they say they are concentrating on in District 2: Ulmerton Road, Roosevelt Road and Gandy Boulevard. They also say that this operation is being done in addition to daily traffic enforcement throughout the city and school zones. These operations will focus on problem areas throughout the city, according to St. Pete PD.
